DNC VastgoedWith an eye for the characteristics of the location and the environment, Actually Design has realized a design that fits well in this place. Based on a ‘farm ensemble’, where a main building and accompanying buildings form a whole. Den Hoven has a modern and sleek appearance created by the use of out of proportion sizes combined with simple shapes. The principles of rural, comfortable, robust, and sustainable are immediately visible. The characteristic features of these five villas are large living spaces, bedrooms with separate facilities, extra space for work or creative activities, and sufficient storage space. The hallway separates the active and passive parts of the villa and connects the interior with the exterior. The choice of colors and materials is tasteful. Materials such as zinc, wood, and brick are inspired by original elements of the old farm. Only in this design, they are just a bit different than before, such as the wooden siding that is wider and darker in color. Remarkably different is the amount of glass that provides plenty of natural light and brings the outside world inside. The central courtyard returns in the form of a square that is the designated place for a conversation between the residents.
